WINTER ’01 begins with the two smiling stick figures of Urban Sophistication’s logo. Their simple, unguarded expression finds its way into the collection: familiar shapes, playful details, and clothes that leave room for the person wearing them to make them their own.

The campaign channels the same spontaneous spirit found in early-2000s red-carpet photographs. Tape holds the carpet together, crew members linger in the background, and a girl in jeans and heels looks as though she stopped on her way somewhere else. There is something infectious about how much she seems to be enjoying herself.

Shot at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, the campaign follows a young star arriving at a series of her own imaginary premieres. The films change, the outfits change, but she is always herself. Her smile is contagious. The clothes are her supporting act.
